By virtue of the status of Sir Gabriel Igbinedon as one of the the richest Edo sons, his traditional title as the Esama of Benin Kingdom for many years has no doubt made his name a household item in the country.
A consolidation feat was added when his son, Lucky, ruled the state for eight years. All these, it could be said, added up to making any event from the family the talk of the town and offspring of the family an attraction of a kind. One of the products of this family, Omosede, came into the public consciousness when she was given out in a classy wedding ceremony to a Benin prince, Aven Akenzua, before the marriage which pro-duced a child eventually packed up.
Beautiful Omosede did not allow that incident to steal her joy as she took it in her stride and moved on to what could be called another phase of life – mainstream politics. What is of interest about her new endeavour is that she’s bridging the gap very rapidly to become a factor and influence in her own right in the National Assembly.
Omosede, who just got elected into the House of Representatives to represent Ovia Federal Constituency, according to those in the know, is fast becoming influential in the house. The birthday party she threw not long ago where a number of her colleagues were present laid credence to her growing influence.
