Adeboye charges parents on ill-gotten wealth
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has appealed to parents to avoid amassing ill-gotten wealth for their children but teach them the values of hard work, honesty and integrity.
Adeboye gave the charge at the special monthly prayer and thanksgiving service organised recently by the RCCG headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos.
The programme, tagged ‘The Beginning of Greatness’ brought together thousands of youths from across the country and featured song rendition, drama, bible teachings and prophetic ministration.
According to him, parents must not encourage mediocrity among their children or wards as there are boundless opportunities and possibility for young people who are willing to work and burn the midnight candles instead of cutting corners.
He lamented that we have a predominant number of youths who want to eat without any dint of hard work which has led to the increase in the number of jobless and unemployable youths across the country.
