DStv League: Islanders dominate Atlantic Conference Playoffs

DStv League: Islanders dominate Atlantic Conference Playoffs
DStv Premier League Atlantic Conference regular season leaders, Lagos Islanders, continued their dominance of the conference on Wednesday at the Conference 6 Playoffs, beating Union Bank 70-53.
It was a third straight win for the side coached by former Nigeria star Lati Erinfolami in the Conference 6 Playoffs taking place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
The former league champions had earlier defeated Customs 60-54, and edged out Dodan Warriors 53-51 in a gritty contest that was decided by a last gasp Hillary Aigbokhaionde three-pointer.
Similarly, secondplaced Dodan Warriors overcame the disappointment of Tuesday’s loss to the Islanders with a 68-62 win over Kwara Falcons to add to their opening day 75-51 win over the Oluyole Warriors, and revive their chances of progressing to the endof- season Final 8 Playoffs.
Union Bank also have a similar record of two wins and a loss as the Dodan Warriors but are currently third in the standings following Wednesday’s loss. Customs also gave their chances of making the Top 4 a huge boost after embarking on a late rally to overcome the Oluyole Warriors 61-58 on Wednesday to earn their first win of the Conference 6 Playoffs.
