One week after he was relieved of his job, former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Patrick Akpobolokemi, yesterday handed over to an Executive Director in the agency, Barrister Calistus Nwabueze Obi as directed by the Federal Government.
The agency in a statement by its Deputy Director, Publici Relations, Mr. Isichie Osamgbi, said Obi was until this appointment the Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services. Born on May 1, 1964, he hails from Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and studied Law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 after duly completing the mandatory studies at the Law School.
