The International Promotion Executive of China’s Foreign Trade Centre, Mrs Chi Geng, on Monday called on Nigerians to explore the different opportunties being offered by China’s Canton Fair.
Chi spoke with the the News Agency of Nigeria on the sidelines of the last session of this year’s Canton Fair in Guangzhuo, China.
According to her, many Nigerian buyers and exporters are yet to “really” take advantage of the opportunities that abound at the international fair.
“In 2014, the number of Nigerians that attended China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as Canton Fair, were about 4,047 and because this year’s fair has not been closed,we cannot readily give the number of Nigerians that are participating.
“But,we do want many more Nigerians to begin to take huge opportunities being offered at the fair.
“Nigerians should know that the fair is a comprehensive and specialised platform that exposes them to buyers and exhibitors from all over the world,” she said.
Chi added that the fair would also give Nigerians opportunities of interacting with and getting good quality products from international manufacturers directly.
She said that the Chinese government and organisers of the fair would continue to create the right environment for promoting favourable import and export between countries of the world.
Chi listed products exhibited at the fair to include electronics and household electrical appliances,lighting equipment,vehicles and spare parts,machinery,consumer goods,gifts,textiles and garments.
