Rapper Gets Shot And Killed With Prop Gun While Recording His Music Video
A rapper has been shot dead while he was recording a music video at a Maryland housing project.
Police said that Keaway Lafonz Ivy, of Washington, D.C., who went by the rap name of Kealo, was shot and killed while recording his music video.
The gun was supposed to be used as a prop for the video.
Ivy, a father of 1 daughter, made many rap music videos that included references to guns.
Investigators said that about 20 people were there in the parking lot of the housing complex when the gun went off. Many people ran away from the scene after the rapper was shot. Ivy died of a single gunshot wound.
Police later arrested 21-year-old Lafonzo Iracks, who was an extra for the music video. He allegedly had the gun when it accidentally went off, killing the rapper.
Iracks, who reportedly had 2 unrelated warrants out for his arrest, was charged with first-degree murder for the rapper’s death.
