Nigeria enters day 2 of the presidential and National Assembly elections. The extension came as a result of technical problems associated with the use of card readers.
The Independent National Electoral Commission announced on March 28, yesterday, that voting would continue on Sunday at 300 out of 150,000 polling stations.
Meanwhile the counting is already ongoing and preliminary results from some units were obtained this night.
As it was expected, the competition is observed between Goodluck Jonathan, the Peoples Democratic Party, and Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress.

11:00 A low hovering military helicopter yesterday scared residents of most areas in Nasarawa state. As a result many didn’t want to go out for voting. The aircraft was seen around 8:00 when most would-be voters were getting ready to go to polling units (Daily Trust).
