Emenike gets royal welcome in Dubai
Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike was received like a king when he arrived Dubai to join his new club Al Ain on Thursday.
Emenike has joined Al Ain on a season-long loan from top Turkish club Fenerbache. The striker touched down in the early hours of the day and was received at the Dubai international Airport by the club’s team manager Nasser Al Junaibi, who presented him with an elegant bouquet of beautiful roses.
Junaibi thanked the Al Ain board of directors headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan for their efforts to bring a top-quality replacement in Emenike for Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan. The AFCON 2013 top scorer will be presented to the press on Friday.
“Emmanuel Emenike has high technical qualities, he played a significant role to help Nigeria win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013, as well as an exceptional level of performance for Fenerbahce, which made him get the attention of major European clubs,” the Al Ain manager remarked.
