It was gathered that Facebook, Twitter, emails accounts and phones of those being monitored have been hacked into by security agencies. According to several sources, the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan approved the project.
It was gathered that the project which is costing the country millions of dollars, is being coordinated by some foreign firms, including an Israeli firm, Elbit. A source however said, the system is only deployed on specific targets because it would be hard and difficult to spy on all Nigerians.
