BREAKING: Buhari sacks service chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari has relieved the nation’s security chiefs of their appointments.

Those sacked Monday were the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army staff, the Chief of Naval Staff and the Chief of the Air Staff.

The President is expected to announce the appointment of new service chiefs later Monday.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, who confirmed the development, said a statement would be issued soon.
