Gunmen Attacks Fernerbahce Football Team Bus, After 5-1 Away Win
Fernerbahce team bus conveying 40 players back from their away game against Caykur Rizespor was attacked by unknown gunmen that shot at them near the city of Trabzon.The incident was believed to have occurred late on Saturday, April 4, 2015, after the Turkish team were making their trip back to their base after recording a 5 – 1 away win. The gunmen allegedly shot at the team bus severally but with aide of the security officials on board none of the players got hurt except for the bus driver who got injured from the gunshot.
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, alongside The Turkish Football Federation and Turkish clubs have all condemned the attack against the Fernerbahce football team.
