Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again in Abuja

Sheraton Abuja Hotel in a partnership with theatre practitioners is set to stage ‘Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again’ on August 8th and 9th, 2015. The stage production will feature popular Nigerian actors, Ramsey Nouah, Ann Njemanze, Patrick Diabuah, TY James and a host of others, and will be performed four times, 3pm and 6pm on both days at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Sheraton Abuja Hotel. The A-list actor, Ramsey Nouah had announced in Abuja, a few weeks ago, that he will be acting in the play being presented by Mosaic Theatre Production, Cruise Entertainment in partnership with Sheraton. Written by the late Prof. Ola Rotimi, ‘Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again’ is a rib cracking socio-cultural and political satire.
The practitioners organising the event are working towards a ‘Theatre at Sheraton’ initiative, that will lead to quarterly production of live stage acting at the Hotel, in order to improve the theatre going culture in the Federal Capital Territory. Sheraton Hotels, Abuja is making a commitment towards supporting the art with its involvement in theatre and its affinity with cultural events is evident in the name of the hall, as Ladi Kwali’s legacy is related to culture. Its involvement culminated in the offer of a dinner for people attending with VIP tickets and a night’s stay and breakfast at Sheraton for anyone who purchases the VIP table tickets. Ramsey Nouah is of the opinion that theatre gave impetus to screen acting, and is one of the reasons he agreed to act on stage, 16 years after his last stage drama performance. Nouah said: “The truth be said that the base for the true art actually started out from stage.
We are going to be here in Abuja, Sheraton, to do the stage drama, ‘Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again’ by Ola Rotimi, and I’ll be be there, I’ll be performing on stage. “We are going to be giving out free tickets on radio and social media. The same performance will be repeated in the four shows and this is deliberately designed to ensure that everyone who wants to see this performance gets an opportunity depending on their preferred date and time. The stage play is also being supported by 41Naija Entertainment and Maxcare Pharmacy and Stores
