Yakasai: Change of govt means nothing to Boko Haram

Yakasai: Change of govt means nothing to Boko Haram
With the recent incessant attacks by Boko Haram in different state, I think the terrorists are trying to throw up a show to tell Nigerians that the change of government means nothing to them.
They are trying to show that they are still strong and committed to their agitation and struggle. The recent attacks by Boko Haram in Yola, Kano, Kaduna and other places may not be a new thing because they have attacked those places they are now attacking before.
Right from their inception, they attacked Maiduguri, Bauchi and Kano. I believe that the Federal Government is trying its best in solving the insurgency problem.
This is a period of preparation and we must allow the new government time to prepare to assess the situation and see from which angle it can make a better impact in the struggle.
But fighting insurgency is not something you can do overnight; it will require preparation, intelligence gathering, alertness on the part of the people in the country, who should be more curious to report injured movement.
So, the insurgency is not what you can resolve within 30 days, but I am sure that the Muhammadu Buhari-led government is preparing to solve the problem because it is one of the cardinal election promises they made. I am sure they will prepare to make a difference.
To solve the insurgency problem, I will advise President Buhari to study what the previous administration did in battling Boko Haram and see how he can improve on it.
