Lawmaker asks Buhari to release plan against terrorism

Lawmaker asks Buhari to release plan against terrorism
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Linus Okorie, yesterday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release his war plan against the Boko Haram insurgents to enable the country fight the menace once and for all.
He made the call against the background of the alleged acrimony between the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the Ministry of Defence that has been attributed as the main reason for last weekend’s change in the country’s top security echelon.
Okorie said this will also put paid to stories of power tussle between the NSA and the Ministry of Defence, which he said is threatening the war against terrorism in the country.
The lawmaker, in a statement yesterday, urged President Buhari to urgently review the nation’s security architecture, roll out his promised marshal plan against terror and also appoint his Minister of Justice for proper implementation of the country’s Terrorism Act.
