DPR seals 22 fuel stations in Abuja
For sharp practices, the Department of the Petroleum Resources has sealed 22 filling stations within Abuja and its environs.
According to statement from the Head of Public Relations,  M.B. Saidu, 19 of them were sealed for selling above N87.00 per liter, two were for diversion of petroleum products while the remaining one was grossly under-dispensing and selling products massively in jerry cans. The stations are to remain sealed for at least one month in addition to forfeiting their bridging claims as directed by the Federal Government.
Some of the affected filling stations according to the statement are:
Kalasma Nigeria Limited, Inyas Nigeria Limited, Jibeco Nigeria Limited, Ahmis Nigeria Limited, Kelvin Energy Limited, B.B. King Nigeria Limited, A.A. Rano Nigeria Ltd, Evil Intl. Oil & Gas, Falke Oil and Alh. Isa Maidole & Sons Nig. Ltd.
Others are: Halims (Invest) Nig. Ltd., Dikas Pet. Coy. Ltd., Yaman Nig. Ltd., Oando, Danco Oil, Sunmart, Abba Petrol Ltd, Febas Energy, Mayo Kanwa, Doma Ent Ltd., Rayhanah Co. Ltd. and Conoil
Saidu said: “Petroleum product marketers and depot owners are hereby warned to operate within the guidelines governing petroleum sales and distribution or face the wrath of the law. The exercise shall continue until normalcy is restored”.
