Agenda for Eagles coach, Oliseh

Agenda for Eagles coach, Oliseh
Oliseh must respect NFF, media, fans
I’m happy he said no players playing in obscure leagues or lower divisions will play for the Super Eagles. He should work on the tactical pattern of the team, make every position competitive, as well as give room for players from the U-20 team, the Flying Eagles. He should create a good relationship with his players so that they can always fight for him on the pitch.
He should hold the NFF in high esteem and show great respect to the media and the fans. We don’t want a coach who fights his players, his employers and then run to the Presidency for cover.

We should be patient with him
I don’t really know the yardstick for measuring success but I know that if the government and the NFF in particular can support him, he will do well. All we need is time and patience, because over time, we don’t seem to have enough patience for coaches; we want to just get the results immediately.
I will advise Oliseh to try and groom our home-based players; we can’t just continue to pick players everywhere and expect them to perform magic. I will say time is the key factor here if we can exercise patience.

Consistency is the key
Sunday Oliseh has all it takes to lead the Super Eagles to the next level, because he has played football to the highest level, featuring at the World Cup and playing for top European clubs.
Oliseh needs to move around the world to get players that are very consistent to play for the Super Eagles.
We don’t just want any player to just come down here and represent us. He should also look at the home-based players; they are doing very well. I feel with the foreign players that are very consistent, and our home-based players joined together, we are going to move forward to the next level and definitely qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Hunt for talent
Oliseh must look out for talented players, and not allow nepotism to decide the players he selects. He should be able to figure out the extremely talented players and pick them without bias. I think we have enough talented players in this country; he should just make sure he goes to the grassroots and work hard with the grooming of the upcoming players.
If he can do that, I believe things will work out for the better

Eagles too big for Oliseh
Oliseh has no experience whatsoever to coach the Super Eagles. His appointment is a shame and disrespectful. Eloquence doesn’t make a good coach nor win trophies. Please tell me the last time Oliseh handled or managed a team.
Why don’t we make our findings before we start comparing Oliseh with great coaches such as Frank Rijkaard, Pep Guardiola or even Jurgen Klinsman? They were engaged in active coaching. Theophilus Akue, Accountant
