The Nigerian- Ugandan friendly game started with the centurion celebration of the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama.
The Lille of France shot stopper joined former captain, Joseph Yobo, who reached a century appearances for the Eagles in one of the games at the Brazil 2014 FIFA world cup, where Nigeria crashed out of the tournament in the second round.
But, the celebration could not go beyond 90 minutes for the Super Eagles who have been looking for a way to win back the fans they since they failed to make it to the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Miya Faruku scored the only goal for the visitors on Wednesday evening and ruined the century celebration of the 32-year old keeper.
With the Super Eagles in rebuilding mode after failing to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, acting coach Daniel Amokachi opted for a squad of six debutants and a couple of returning legs, which weren't different from what we have seen after winning the AFCON title in 2013.
Nigeria still has another game against Bafana Bafana on the 29th in Nelspruit, to see if they can turn things around and give the fans something to enjoy.
