APC Thugs Set PDP Secretariat In Kano On Fire




Thugs suspected to be members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have set the Bichi Local Government Area Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat on fire a result of which four vehicles belonging to the party were burnt to ashes.
Narrating the incident while speaking to journalists in Kano yesterday, the party’s Public Relations Officer in Kano, Alhaji Musa Danbirni, said the destruction of the secretariat came just a day after a rally held by the member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Lawan Shehu, and the decamping of one Mr. Zainab Usman to the PDP.

Danbirni however stated that the action of the thugs might have been informed by the growing influence of the party and the popularity of the legislator who in his words is commanding the respect of voters in the area.

“My understanding of the situation is the APC is sensing defeat in the area the only thing they can do to hurt the party is by way of orchestrating twwhe dastardly act.

“Those responsible for the destruction are only boosting the popularity and acceptance of the PDP in the area. We will never on any way be weaken in our resolve to win all the elections. no amount of sabotage could ever deter our struggle to actualise our mission,” he added.

Confirming the incident, the state police command Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Musa Majiya, said he was still making effort to gather a comprehensive detail of the episode from the Bichi Area Commander and promised to keep the media posted on further development.

As at the time of filing in this report, smoke was reported to be billowing and men of the state fire service in the area were making frantic effort to put the fire it out.
