This is contained in a statement signed by Mrs Seun Olagunju, General Manager (Public Affairs) in TCN, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday.
According to the statement, this peak was reached a few days after the last record of 4,545 megawatts was attained on July 13.
It reported that the new peak was attained at 10.00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15.
The statement said that the previous peak of the power transmission was 4,517 megawatts which was attained on December 23, 2012.
It added that power generation and transmission had been above 4000 megawatts due to improvement in gas supply to the generating stations.

The management of TCN assured its customers that it would continue to work to enhance the capacity to transmit more quality power to the distribution companies.
