Taking 3-piece suit apart

The three piece suit (also called a “vested suit”) is any type of men’s suit with the addition of a waistcoat.

Standing out in a crowd is as simple as adding a waistcoat, unlike the equally striking but less flexible double-breasted suit.

For a man seeking a distinctive style, the three-piece suit has obvious merits. It creates a single, unbroken stretch of the suit fabric from ankles to shoulder.

In a quality fabric, the smooth drape of cloth all the way along the body gives a man’s body a handsomely balanced appearance.

A three piece suit is one of the most versatile menswear pieces a guy can own.

The vested suit greatly increases the wear-ability of the suit because a man can wear the jacket and trousers without the vest, or all three pieces together, or the trousers and vest for when he is at his work desk for example.

The great thing about a three piece suit is that it doesn’t always have to be the complete package.

You can get a lot out of it by mixing it up and pairing pieces together or as separates with other items in your wardrobe.

Here are different ways you can rock your three piece suit in style:

Jacket & trousers:

Absolutely timeless and classic. A black two piece suit looks great on everyone and makes statements for formal events.

Waistcoat & trousers:

Worn without the jacket, a waistcoat creates a wonderful, slim silhouette. As a result, it’s important to make sure your shirt fit is on point. Always leave the bottom button of your waistcoat unbuttoned.

Tr o u s e r s worn separately:

this is ideal for a Casual Friday look.

Jacket worn separately:

the three piece jacket is a fairly formal-looking garment. Taking a playful approach can lead to great results. A fun pocket square can really tie a look like this together.

Three Piece – All Business:

It’s masc u l i n e , elegant, and d e f i n i t e l y says that you mean business
