Everton captain Phil Jagielka has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at the club until the end of the 2017-18 season.
Jagielka, 32, joined the Toffees from Sheffield United in 2007 and is approaching 300 games for the side.
“I love it here, I want to stay here and thankfully enough Everton felt the same,” said the England international.
Jagielka became captain in 2013 after Phil Neville retired, and was named the club’s player of the season in 2014-15, reports the BBC.
