Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has promised to create about a thousand jobs for unemployed youths in the state during his first 100 days in office as part of his short term achievements.
According to the Governor, who was speaking on his first official day on assumption into office as the number one citizen of the state, government owes its citizens the opportunity to get them engaged and accountable for their welfare.
He averred that during his administration, value will be added to the lives of residents in Cross River State through other signature programmes he intends to unveil in order for them to feel the impact of good governance.
Governor Ayade also warned that strict sanctions will be enforced on civil servants who do not report to work latest by ten minutes before 8am.
He, however, pardoned those who were late on the first day but warned that a repetition would amount to a written memo which could be followed by major sanctions.
