Taraba State Governor, Mr. Darius Ishiaku has promised to reunite the people of the state to be their brothers’ keepers despite its heterogonous nature.
The governor made the promise on Friday while presenting his inaugural speech shortly after his swearing-in as the new executive governor of the state.
The swearing-in ceremony began at about 3pm with elder statesman General T Y Danjuma (rtd) in attendance.
The new governor said he is aware of the enormous challenges facing the state, which include insecurity, unemployment, and poverty, and promised to rescue the state from those difficulties.
Governor Ishaku also noted that his administration will be committed to re-uniting Tarabans by ensuring adequate security through community policing.
