SHOCKING PHOTOS AS MAN BEGS NOT TO BE LYNCHED BY MOB DURING RIOT IN BURUNDI



Chilling photos have emerged from the Burundi protests that left two dead.

They are protesting President Pierre Nkurunziza’s bid for a third term in office .

The angry protesters in the Nyakabiga district of Bujumbura have targeted members of pro-Government militia,the Imbonerakure .

The photos show a member who narrowly escaped death from protesters who arrived at his house with bats and machetes – although they were not used.

According to Dailymail,Jean Claude Niyonzima was chased through a courtyard and found himself cornered between two buildings. Bleeding from his head, he begged for his life as members of the crowd interrogated him. He squeezed through his attackers but the mob kept chasing him around his yard as women cried and begged for them to show mercy.



The mob hailing him with rocks as he flees for his life into the filthy city sewers. The pictures show him with blood pouring down the side of his face, being physically held by members of the mob and pleading for his life. He was chased through a courtyard and found himself cornered between two buildings.

The man then escaped to a pit, surrounded by soldiers and pleaded for their protection as the mob surrounded the pit. Members of the crowd prepared to go in after him, dodging the armed soldiers, but as he stands in the pit pleading for the mercy they fired shots into the air to disperse the crowd allowing him to escape.
