A man has been jailed for 241 years for keeping his lover and two teenage girls captive for five years while committing a series of crimes against them.
Jorge Iniestra Salas, 36, who has been dubbed the ‘Mexican Fritzl’, repeatedly raped the girls, beginning when they were just 12 and 14 years old.
He was charged with the murder of one of the girls and the murder of one of his own children, a three month old boy.
Salas beat one of the girls to death and killed his baby boy by forcing him to nurse on the body of the dead girl. He also kept his semen in a jar which he forced the girls to drink.
Police in Mexico have also arrested members of Salas’ family, as well as his partner in September 2011, for allowing the abuse to continue for so long.
Salas forced his partner to stay in the living room with her son, so he could be alone with the two girls in the bedroom.
He forced the 13-year-old son to work, beating him with a belt if he didn’t raise enough money for the household.
The mother gave her entire savings and her debit card to Salas out of fear.
At the time of his arrest, prosecutor Jorge Ferman said: ‘This is an imprisonment story, a story of captivity.’
Three of Salas’ relatives, who helped him cover up the crimes also received lengthy prison sentences, of between 18 and 21 years, reports The Independent.
