Imoke May Replace Mu'azu as PDP National Chairman

Imoke
Aides and loyalists of President Goodluck Jonathan are presently making moves to remove the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mua'azu.

THIS DAY reports that Cross River Governor, Liyel Imoke is being touted as Mu'azu's replacement.

The move by the presidential aides is aimed at altering the zoning of offices in the PDP, which would see the national chairman of the party coming from the South-south, while the presidential candidacy will be zoned to the North, preparatory to the 2019 election.

The aides are expected to make their move at the PDP Convention in June.
