An agent of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos state, has been arrested with sophisticated spy devices similar to those used by men of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
According to PM News, the spy devices found on the PDP agent included cameras, which were in form of sunglasses and ball point pens.
The development has raised fears that PDP agents in other parts of the state may be in possession of the spy cameras in a bid to contravene election rules.
In a separate development, some APC agents in some polling units in Ikorodu were turned back upon failure to produce their identification tags.
The agents who had letters confirming their status were also turned down by INEC officials on the grounds that all agents are supposed to come with Identification.
Meanwhile, as the presidential election commences, security officials have arrested some persons suspected of engaging in electoral malpractices.
