James Bond Author apologizes for saying Idris Elba is too street to play 007
Earlier today, author of the widely successful franchise "James Bond", Anthony Horowitz, said that Idris Elba is too street to play James Bond. In his words:
For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond."Horowitz made the remark while doing promotional interviews for his new James Bond novel, Trigger Mortis, and as you can imagine, his comments brought him A LOT of backlash from the entire world especially the black community.
Anthony has now taken to social media to write a new statement and an apology to Elba and the world.
