Boko Haram turned College lab into bomb making factory – Army
The Nigerian Army Saturday said, while conducting a mop-up operation in Dikwa, Borno State, troops of the 7 Division discovered that Boko Haram elements had converted the abandoned chemistry laboratory of the Dikwa College of Education into an Improvised Explosive Devices-making factory.
The disclosure was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sani Usman.
It was further stated that four Toyota Hilux vehicles were recovered during the operation, to clear Dikwa and its environs of Boko Haram elements, while  a welding machine as well as a mine detector, were also recovered from the abandoned laboratory.
This is as the Army said the troops are in high spirit, as they are determined to rout Boko Haram fighters from all their enclaves.
The statement reads: “Troops of 7 Division Nigerian Army conducting mop up operations to clear Dikwa and envrions of Boko Haram terrorists recovered 4 Toyota Hilux vehicles today.
“They also discovered that the terrorists have converted the abandoned chemistry laboratory of Dikwa College of Education  into an Improvised Explosives Devices making factory.
“Some of the equipment recovered from the laboratory include a welding machine and mine detector. The gallant troops are in a very high spirit and more determined to further pursue the fleeing terrorists to all known enclaves and sanctuaries.”
