CONVENANT UNIVERSITY NOW USING CARD READER FOR EXAMINATIONS
Covenant University, is emulating INEC by using card readers for the conduct of its on-going examination.
The Director, Centre for Systems and Information Services of the university, Pastor Abolade Afolabi, explained that the introduction of the card readers is to forestall any form of examination malpractice.
Another reason, according to him, was to solve the challenge of students having to go through the rigour of printing out their Course Evaluation Forms in order to sit for examination.
He further said the devices contain a Green List i.e names of students that are eligible to take the examination.
The University’s Director of Academic Planning Unit, Dr. Akan Williams, also claimed that with the introduction of the card readers, examination malpractice had been curtailed to a large extent.
