The Hausa community in Ekiti state was first attacked by mask-wearing hoodlums on wednesday, May 20th. The hoodlums stormed the popular Atikankan area at about 8am and destroyed wares and properties of residents in the area.
This led to a return attack by the Hausa community who went and burnt down a portion of the Ado Ekiti main Market.
This has put the state at point of Crisis and has forced the Governor, Ayo Fayose to relocate the Hausa residents to prevent further attacks.
Investigation revealed that the first attack on the Hausa’s was carried by loyalist of the Drivers Union.
