A former Senator and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Senator Ayo Arise, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Arise’s defection follows series of meeting between him and some leaders of the APC. Arise on Tuesday finally caved in by dumping the PDP for the APC. Arise has been one of the strongest supporter of Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti. Fayose mentioned Arise’s name in the leaked Ekiti rigging tape.
