Senate Race: Tinubu Dumps Akume,Lobbies Support For Lawan

Bola Tinubu,National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC is reportedly supporting Ahmed Lawan for the position of senate president. 

THIS DAY reports that Tinubu who was previously said to be supporting former Governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume started lobbying support for Lawan on Monday night. 

Tinubu reportedly offered Akume the Deputy senate president slot which he rejected as his region, the North-Central is bent on producing Nigeria's next senate president. 

Also, Tinubu's wife, Senator Remi Tinubu is said to have openly campaigned for Lawan in the senate chambers on Monday.
