Musicians sing against xenophobia

An anti-xenophobia song by about 30 musicians from around Africa will be launched on Friday.
Artists such as Mzwakhe Mbuli, Solly Moholo, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala and Zahara teamed up after being tasked by the Department of Arts and Culture to produce a song against the scourge of xenophobic attacks.
Seven lives have been lost since the xenophobic violence broke out last week. Hundreds of others have also been displaced.
Speaking on SAFM AM Live show, Mbuli says people cannot commit barbarism and human slaughter in their name.
He says the song highlights the artists detest towards xenophobia.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the African Diaspora Forum, Marc Gbaffou says through the anti-xenophobia march in Johannesburg on Thursday, the majority of South Africans demonstrated that they are not xenophobic and they are concerned about the attacks.
