JUST IN: Unknown Gunmen Kill 14 in Kaduna Market
Unknown gunmen have opened fire on petty traders in Kaduna village, killing 14 people including a 70-year-old man.Residents said the gunmen opened fire on people who were buying and selling at Sabon Birni Deji market in Igabi local government on Monday afternoon.
According to Abubakar, the gunmen stormed the market and shot at random in the market, killing the 14 people and injuring many others.
The secretary of Miyetti Allah in Kaduna State, Mallam Iliyasu Aliyu, told our correspondent that herdsmen were the main target of the gunmen.
“They stormed the market on Monday afternoon, shooting and killing people.
Some of the survivors are now receiving treatment at a private hospital,” he said.
