The Super Eagles may have lost their game against the Cranes of Uganda but a former Nigerian international, Dosu Joseph has urged the nation's senior national team to move on from their past defeat.
The 1996 Olympic gold medalist insisted that the 1-0 loss to Uganda on Wednesday was scandalous but reckons that Nigerians can only look positively ahead of the Bafana Bafana clash in Nelspruit.
“It’s just these friendly games that brought the players back after a long time away from the national scene and so losing the game is painful but we’ll look at it as just a friendly game with new players into the team” Dosu told football live
“It’s really painful though with new players and playing in a new stadium but we just have to move on. We have a game with South Africa this weekend and I know that they will go there and see if they can win”
“Nigerians will want them to win but it’s just unfortunate that they couldn’t pick the pieces from where they left before so we just continue to struggle again. I hope and pray that there will be an end to it”
