3,032 Out Of 5,000 Dismissed Soldiers Were Reinstates


The Nigerian Army has announced the reinstatement of 3, 032 out of the 5, 000 soldiers, who had suffered summary dismissal occasioned by their conducts at the theatre of operation.

Their reinstatement followed the recommendation made to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, by a committee that was commissioned to review disciplinary cases emanating from military operations against Boko Haram.

The disclosure was contained in a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Colonel Sani Usman.

According to the statement, the committee found merit in the cases involving the reinstated soldiers, hence the recommendation for their immediate re-absorption into the Army.

It further disclosed that the affected soldiers, have since commenced a re-training exercise on counter-terrorismm, at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, Niger State.
