An explosion has rocked the Damaturu Sunday Market in Yobe State.
The explosion occurred some minutes after 10am on Sunday.
Though casualty figures could not be obtained as at the time the report was published, eyewitnesses said several persons died.
Security personnel were busy evacuating corpses and the injured when this report was filed.
Security operatives at the scene of the explosion included soldiers, policemen, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Fire Service.
