Lagos arraigns YABATECH bursar for false allegations
Following the allegation of financial recklessness leveled against top management of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, by the estranged Bursar and Financial Officer of the college, Mr. Olugbenga Ibirogba, the Lagos State Government has arraigned the bursar and two others before Justice Akintoye of the Lagos High Court.
In the eight-count charges against Ibirogba, the Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. E.I. Alakija, who stood in for the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, in charge number LD/1490/2015, averred that Ibirogba with one Charles Akharayi and Samuel Erhunwunse provoked a breach of public by offensive publications contrary to Section 57 (1) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
Ibirogba has been in a running battle with the management in which he was alleged to have fabricated bundles of lies which he published to tarnish the image of the Rector, Dr. Margaret Kudirat Ladipo, as well as alleged threat to her life.
