Carry a briefcase, not backpack

Carry a briefcase, not backpack
What readily comes to your mind when you see a man in a well-tailored suit carrying a backpack instead of a briefcase or laptop bag? No doubt, a backpack may be easier to carry over the shoulders; however, to maintain a professional look, it is more suitable to a leather briefcase or mini laptop bag.
Backpacks ruin the lines of a good suit with the straps draping inelegantly over the lapels and breaking up the smooth visual impression of the jacket. Carrying a backpack when wearing a suit does no good to your professional image. For a professional look, you should carry a briefcase or laptop bag.
A briefcase is a timeless accessory to enhance any man’s professional image. You can make your choice from the numerous materials, styles and colours. However, it is advisable to opt for brown or black colours. Carrying a briefcase is professional and mature.
A leather briefcase or laptop bag will not be as distracting as a backpack. Backpacks are associated with school children, soldiers and mountaineers. None of these people are seen around the office and that is why a backpack will undermine your professional image.
