There was election in A’Ibom, Akpabio insists

The Akwa Ibom State governor, Mr. Godswill Akpabio, has said that he will not answer those who said there were no elections in the state.

According to the governor, if there were no elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission would not have distributed materials for elections.

Akpabio stated this in Ikot Ekpene during a thanksgiving service and public presentation of the official certificate of licence to Ritman University to operate as a private university, on Sunday.

He asked the public to disregard media reports, saying that they are propaganda sponsored by the opposition to whip sentiment from the tribunal.
