Why Kwankwaso Could Be Nigeria's Next Senate President
The lobbying has began to make the current governor of Kano state, Kwankwaso, the next speaker of the senate. In a report in the Leadership newspaper, one of the new senator-elect for Kano North is leading the charge.
You would not bet against Kwankwaso as he came second to General Buhari during the presidential primaries, his state Kano was probably the difference in the elections and he stood against the government when appointing Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
In summary, the job is probably his if he wants it.
