Kenya Arrest Five Suspect Over University Massacre

Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery, confirmed earlier today(saturday) that the police has arrested three more suspects over Garissa University attack, making five the number of those in custody.
The three are said to be associates of terror mastermind, Gamadhere, and were nabbed at the Somalia border while trying to flee on Friday.

The al-Qaeda linked militant group Al-Shabaab issued a statement earlier on Saturday, warning Kenya of further attacks after the invasion of the Kenyan university, which has so far claimed 148 lives.

Reacting to the attack, President Uhuru Keyatta said, “This is a moment for everyone throughout the country to be vigilant as we continue to confront and defeat our enemies.”

“It is a very sad day for Kenya,” Interior Ministry Joseph Nkaissery said of the carnage at Garissa University College.

World leaders, including President Barack Obama of the US, have also condemned the attack.
