Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose on Saturday raised alarm over allegations of snatching of ballot boxes during House of Assembly election by suspected hoodlums in parts of the state.The governor said the polling units where the act was alleged to have been carried out included those in Ikole Local Government Area and Ilejemeje Local Government Area.
He told journalists at his Afao-Ekiti community where he voted, that it was sad that the electoral process that had gone peacefully earlier in the day could be punctured by political thugs.
Although he did not accuse any political party or individual as perpetrators of the act, he said that it was worrisome that people could carry their desperation too far.
